Big Trucks at the Library
Lucy had a lot of fun at this event. Her favorite was the oversized garden tractor. My favorite was when she climbed all by herself up a big ladder (not playground sizing) on the side of an airport truck. As she was climbing, a bystander said "that is a brave little girl!"

First Bus Trip
Lucy rode down to Madison on a school bus as Dad (and Mom) chaperoned HS students at the Boys Basketball State Semifinals. The boys won, and despite Lucy not napping, she held up well. She even made a couple friends on the bus!

B is for Beer
Without any prompting, Lucy said this to me. We have never said this to Lucy, and I wasn't even drinking a beer. We think Lucy derived this off of B is for Bear, something Kerry has worked with Lucy on.

Park and Story Time
Saturday Lucy and I went to story time at the library. Afterwards the kiddos got to jam with the instruments. Lucy especially loved the cymbals. We hope to keep that instrument out of our house for the next couple of years.
Sunday Lucy played for over an hour at the "Orange Park" (Myrick - it has an orange slide that she loves). A group 4th-6th graders befriended her. Here Mikah makes snowballs for Lucy to throw.
Busy Body with Imagination!
Lucy and I played like this for about an hour this morning. She just kept coming up with ideas.
First Fall Down Steps
Lucy had her first fall down stairs (to my knowledge) this morning. With about 8 steps left to go to the basement, Lucy looked towards the hallway (away from her path and opposite the railing) and fell towards where she was looking. Somehow she came to a stop after a couple of steps. She looked a bit stunned. I helped her get up. She looked at me and said "I will try that again" and took off back up the steps where the mishap happened. Persistence!

Kerry: ok, are you going to make a poop?
Lucy: yes, it'll smell really good.

Last night during dinner, I mentioned to Lucy how Mom was a good cook.
Lucy replied
"Mom is a good mommy"... "and Dad is a good daddy."
Now if after that she would have said Sully is a good Sully...
